Jon Buckley
Professor Jon Buckley is the Director of the Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity (ARENA) at the University of South Australia. ARENA evaluates the effects of exercise, nutrition and other lifestyle activities on health and human performance.
Jon’s research interests are in evaluating the effects of nutrition and exercise on health and physical function in populations ranging from patients with chronic disease to elite athletes.
He has published more than 180 peer-reviewed journal articles. His work has led to 11 patents, the introduction of novel foods into the marketplace, changes in national and international food policy, and changes in national and international test protocols for elite athletes.
